DETOX ICE TEA

THE BIG HEALTH & BEUTY DETOX

Ever feel like you need a complete overhaul?
Well I wanted one for ages & went for it without thinking twice! Lets face we woman will never have the perfect time for anything specially if you’re a mother.

Detox diet is the ultimate health and beauty boost out there. But some can be dangerous and can put your life in danger.

Rather than following an extreme detox plan that only contains glasses of nasty juice. I chose the healthy way to detox my way to clean & clear body, mind and soul.  I wish I can blog everything I ate over the week in pictures but I wanted to share my Ultimate Detox Ice Tea, which was the Highlight of the whole detox. My family members who weren’t even detoxing enjoyed them. Ice teas are perfect for summer days and can cool you instantly but the right one can also detox your body.

So without further ado here is my five day Detox Ice Tea.

FENUGREEK SEED & GREEN TEA

Prepare this the night before

Make 1.5 litres of green tea and add three teaspoons of fenugreek seed, place it in the fridge at room temperature to chill over night.

To serve, add ice cube, lemon, lime and honey to taste.

Fenugreek seeds are rich source of minerals, vitamins, and phytonutrients. 100 g seeds provide 323 calories. Fenugreek seeds are also known to help sooth gastrointestinal inflammation, lowers cholesterol levels and lower the risk of heart attack

BERRY & GREEN TEA

Prepare this the night before

Make 1.5 litres of berry green tea (using 5 green tea bag & 3 berry tea bag), place it in the fridge at room temperature to chill over night.

To serve, add fresh berries and sliced grapefruit for added detox benefit.

Green tea is not only a good weight-loss drink, but it is extremely high in antioxidants. Research has also suggested that drinking green tea can protect the liver from diseases including fatty liver disease.

GINGER & GREEN TEA

Make 1.5litres of green tea (using 5 green tea bag) slice five-centimeter ginger and to the hot green tea, place it in the fridge at room temperature to chill over night.

To serve, add ice cube, lemon, lime and honey .

Ginger is great for reducing feelings of nausea, it can help improve digestion, beat bloating and reduce gas. In addition to this, ginger is high in antioxidants and is good for boosting the immune system.

BERRY & PEPPERMINT TEA

Prepare this the night before

Make 1.5 litres of berry and peppermint tea (using 5 peppermint tea bag and 3 berry tea bag) and place it in the fridge at room temperature to chill over night.

To serve, add fresh berries, also add sliced grapefruit for added detox benefit and garnish it with fresh mint leaves

Peppermint tea the big Immune System Benefiter, it acts as a great preventative force against catching the common cold and flu. It comes with good amounts of potassium, calcium and vitamin B, all useful agents in the fight against colds and flus.

ZEST & GREEN TEA
Prepare this the night before

Make 1.5 litres of green tea (using 5 green tea bags) crate lemon and lime zest and add to the hot tea and place it in the fridge at room temperature to chill over night.

To serve, add lemon, lime and honey.

Lemons are a staple of many detox diets, and there is good reason for this. Firstly, lemons are packed with antioxidant vitamin C, which is great for the skin and for fighting disease-forming free radicals. Furthermore, the citrus fruit has an alkaline effect on the body, meaning that it can help restore the body's pH balance, benefitting the immune system.

Overall my detoxing week was a positive experience for me, as it helped me kick of my weight loss program with cleansed Body, Mind and Soul.

I truly enjoyed putting this blog post together.

Hope you enjoyed it and good luck on your detox. Let me know how you get on as I would love to hear  them....

Sin xx
